About Becoming a Wright Way RBT

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the BCBA, an RBT will:

• Completes a BACB approved RBT course and keeps registration to the BACB current.

• Assists the BCBA/BCaBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.

• Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes.

• Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel.

• Participates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned.

• Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.

• Participates with all other health care personnel in patient care planning. • Directs and supervises assistant (RBT, Behavior Technician) personnel as required.

• With the BCBA/BcaBA, instructs patients and family/significant others in home programs and protocols.

• Attends all staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled.

• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Instruction to patient/family in home program with documentation in medical record notes.

• Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.

• Maintains acceptable attendance status, per Agency policy.

• Appearance is always within Agency standards; is clean and well groomed.

• Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation and infrequent overtime for routine assignments.

• Maintains clean and neat work environment.

• Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making.

• Maintains current CPR certification.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Document progress of client at the end of each session

• Create materials and complete assignments assigned by the BCBA in a timely manner

• Maintain their RBT certification with the BACB

• Maintain records of their supervision with their BCBA

• Communicate with guardians, staff and the BCBA on their schedule a month in advance

• Communicate with guardians, staff and BCBA regarding their absence within 24-hours of the appointment

• Submit daily progress notes to WWBS administrative team as assigned

• Submit raw data and/or notes of client progress to the Wright Way Behavior Services LLC administrative client files

• Work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team by showing team skills of listening and providing feedback

• Work a minimum of 40 hour per week

• Demonstrate ethical behavior that corresponds with the current BACB RBT Ethics criteria

• Maintain verbal/written confidentiality amongst other employees of Wright Way Behavior Services LLC

• Communicate and document client concerns to the assigned BCBA of Wright Way Behavior Services LLC within 24 hours for the following:

1. Excessive missed appointment

2. Violations of the parent handbook

3. Unsafe work environment ` 53

4. Violations of the Employee Success Guide

5. Excessive absenteeism *physical, emotional, sexual, neglectful behavior will be reported immediately upon making the client safe.

• Destroy documents with client information by shredding the information and not simply discarding it
• Implement Safety Care as designed and within the guidelines set forth by WWBS
